elevate your spirit.

Born from a Love of the Mountains

Himariva was founded by Anubhav Mainali, Founder and a Guide, focusing on delivering authentic trekking experiences from people to culture, spirituality, and stories that make Nepal truly unique.

Starting with just two guides and a handful of clients, team of 18 licensed, certified guides across all of Nepal's major trekking regions. We've led over 500 successful treks and welcomed more than 2,000 trekkers from 60 countries. Our approach has never changed: small groups, licensed local guides, sustainable practices, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and satisfaction of every person who walks the hills with us.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

The mountains and communities we work in deserve our deepest respect. We take our environmental and social responsibilities seriously.

🌍 Environmental Responsibility

We operate a strict "leave no trace" policy on all treks. All waste is packed out, we use biodegradable products wherever possible, and we offset the carbon footprint of every trek through certified reforestation projects in Nepal. We never allow single-use plastics on our treks.

🏘 Community Support

We prioritise local employment at every level from guides and porters to teahouse owners and local suppliers. 5% of every booking fee is donated to the Himariva Foundation, which funds education and healthcare in remote mountain communities.

🀲 Ethical Porter Practices

All our porters are paid fair wages above the IPPG minimum, provided with proper equipment for the conditions, and never carry loads exceeding 25kg. We provide insurance, accommodation and meals for every porter throughout the trek.
